COVID-19 Information

Dear Members,

The FD Community Federal Credit Union is working to ensure that you and our employees are safe and we are taking the necessary steps to continue to meet your financial needs during the pandemic. We need to remind you of a few things within the following announcement:

Your Money is SAFE:
-First and foremost, your money is safe in the credit union account.
- Under the NCUA, all deposits are federally insured up to $250,000.
-We discourage you from storing cash in your safe deposit boxes or at home. The content of safe deposits boxes is NOT insured by the NCUA. If you need to access your safe deposit box please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Branch Lobbies:
-Effective at close of business today, 3/19/2020 the lobby of the branches will be closed at the    Watertown Ave and Meriden Rd locations.
-The night drop will be available for all depository transactions.
-The ATM will be available for deposit and withdrawals.
-We will have additional staff in our call center available during branch hours, with staff ready to aid and assist you on the phone as best as possible.

Drive Up Locations  HOURS:
281 Meriden Rd Branch, Waterbury – Drive Thru Open (no Lobby):
-The Drive through will remain open as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8am to 4pm.

Thursday 8am to 6pm

Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm

-If needed, you can set an appointment to come in and meet with an MSR inside.

601 Watertown Ave, Waterbury – No Drive Thru or Lobby Service:
-The Watertown Ave office does NOT have drive through service.

-If needed, you can set an appointment to come in and meet with an MSR inside.


ATMs:
-Both of the credit union ATMs will be ready to take deposits or complete cash withdrawals as needed.
-If you’re unable to get to an ATM at the branch, visit this site to find a surcharge free ATM for withdrawals only: https://allpointnetwork.com/locator.aspx
-There are over 600 surcharge free ATMs within 50 miles of the Waterbury branches through Allpoint.

Loan Payments or Visa Credit Card Payments:
We have a multitude of options available for you to make your loan payments to FD Community FCU
-Loan payments can be made by dropping the payment in the night drop location at each branch.
-Loan payments can be made using the Loan Pay feature of the mobile app.
-Loan payments can be made using the Bill Pay feature of the website through home banking.
-Loan payments can be made by calling us to transfer funds internally.
-Visa Credit Payments can be made by using the FD Card manager app.
-Visa Credit Payments can be made by using the FD Community FCU web access through our public website.

How Do I check my balance?
-You can log into online banking at fdcommunityfcu.org or download the FD Community FCU app from the app store and google play store. Note: You’ll need to get a pin from us if you haven’t used this already. Please call 203-753-9201 to obtain your pin and set up your online banking.
-You can call the telebanking 24/7 by calling 203-755-9737.

How do I apply for a loan?
-Applications for Auto, Visa Credit Card, and Personal loans can be applied for online by going to fdcommunityfcu.org
-Application forms for mortgages can be requested by email at contactus@fdcommunityfcu.org
-All supporting documents can be left in the night drop at either locations or faxed to 203-756-6886, we discourage you sending your personal information by email at this time.

I had a loan scheduled to close, now what do I do?
-Your loan officer will arrange a time for you to sign your documents electronically.

How do I make a deposit or withdrawal from my IRA?
-You can contact us through contactus@fdcommunityfcu.org and an MSR will call you to set up a time to get this completed for you.
